FIT One year AAS Transfer Class Registration

I’m transferring into FIT’s Illustration AAS program as a 2nd year and I was worried about registration to be honest. I noticed that the register times for already admitted students is the first week of April and newly admitted students register in late May. Are there any other transfer students coming into the 2nd year of the AAS majors that also have any concerns about registering? I’m worried that there will be no more classes left or only classes no one wanted to take left to register for when it’s our turn in May.

I haven’t received my application decision yet but I also applied as a transfer to a one year degree. I applied to the one year Communications Design program! My instagram is matterstomaddie if you want to connect! That is so crazy that the registration times are so soon, I hope I get my decision from them this week! I called and they told me they are behind on transfer applicants. When did you get your decision letter?

@oolybuzzle I applied as a transfer for a 2 year AAS degree and heard back on March 30th. I hope you hear back soon! You should give admissions a call again. That’s crazy that they’re so behind when it comes to transfer students.

@jeli11 Yea me too very concerned, especially since I am going to the evening/weekend track and I work in the day. So the time of the classes matters a lot to me. Hope there are still classes that fit my schedule well.

@jeli11 I call every other day or so. The update is: my essay and portfolio came in as late because I posted them before midnight pacific time, but it was already midnight on the east coast. So my application went into the “rolling applications” category * eye roll . Sooooo I screwed that one up for sure! They FINALLY made a decision on my application but now I have to wait UP TO TWO WEEKS for them to write the acceptance/rejection/waitlist letter *another eye roll. They said to keep calling and checking to see if the letter is ready so they can email it. * one last eye roll * This process is so stressful. I hope I find out soon because I need to submit my housing and tuition deposits to Pratt on May 1st if I’m not accepted to FIT.

I think mine is probably considered late as well, im a transfer but my high school told me that they sent the transcripts on jan 25th, but like a month later fit still didnt get them so i had to have them sent again way late. When i had them sent again i asked them (my HS) to call and tell them that it was their error and when they called me back they told me that FIT said that it wouldnt be counted as late… but since its already april 22 im assuming it is
