Fit

Would a student who is not involved in sports or music fit in at Wooster?

Sure. Lots going on. What are you interested in?

On the sports front, it’s Division III so not crazy like some Big 10 schools. (I’m not putting down the Big 10 sports thing, either.) The Wooster baseball and basketball teams have been pretty good in recent years which can be fun on campus. But most students probably DO NOT attend games.

Many students who did sports in high school choose not to go that route in college. But they’re still interested in fitness, having fun and doing something competitive. The new Scot Center is an awesome workout venue! There are also club sports – just for fun, really. Those are ways to meet people.

Music – there are some serious music students, but it’s not like at a school that has a conservatory (Oberlin, Baldwin Wallace).

Back to your question – you certainly don’t have to be into sports or music to go to Wooster and have a great experience.

Ask more questions, if need be. Tell us about yourself.

Thanks, ici! I’m a parent just trying to put together a list of colleges to visit that I think might be a good fit for my high school junior. Then she can visit them and others and see what her gut tells her. I had read somewhere (but can’t remember where) that Wooster has a large percentage of students who are involved with varsity athletics and or band/music. Just wanted to make sure that a student who didn’t share those interests wouldn’t feel out of place.

any idea of when COW will announce their RD acceptances?
