hahaha, it’s really all relative to what you compare FIU to. FIU is by far not an Ivy League school so unfair to compare it to Harvard etc… Also understand that FIU is extremely young established 1975 vs other schools established over 100 years ago so FIU also lacks in prestige building and a large endowment for maximum research. With all that said their are pro’s but, like any other school it depends on what your major is. If your coming for journalism eehhh probably not the best school or perhaps for music or film i’d recommend UCF instead. But if your coming for business there is no one that comes close and just because you get accepted your freshmen year does not guarantee your acceptance into the actual business school your JR year due to new GPA requirements that continue to increase. Your friend should actually be excited she was accepted FIU mainly accepts transfer students and only a select few of freshmen it has been reducing freshmen intake along with UF. We are the only two school doing that all the other schools continue to accept all beating hearts. FIU for the past three years has been the most exclusive school to get into. Hope that helps put things in perspective.

in addition check this out it might be exciting to watch maybe encourage a different point of view. In addition its diffrent when you visit campus. FIu defn not a party school so if that’s what your looking for i’d go up north to schools that don’t accept financial aid students, tend to accept wealthier families.
