<p>Democracy fails largely because it creates equality. In feudalism, a state tends to have a few educated elite, but a lot more poor. However, the educated elite in feudalism and aristocratic states are, by design, able to afford more time to become the Newtons and Aristotles. Democracy, while it tends to lack the very poor, also lacks the innovating very elite that you find in other systems.</p>
<p>This was something that the Founding Fathers and other previous political theorists noted as a great flaw of democracy.</p>
