Floors in the co-ed dorms are co-ed as well, right?

As in, it's not like 1st floor is girls, 2nd floor is guys, 3rd floor is girls, etc., right?

All floors mixed?

A few of them are, but most floors are either completely boys or completely girls.

In san jac, its boy girl boy girl by room, and not by floor. Now to push for connected bathrooms in San Jac!

What about honors dorms?

I couldn't say for sure, but San Jac is kind of an exception. It will probably be separated by floor or wing or something. They don't want those smart kids breeding ya know?

Hmm, that's weird. I always was under the impression that they put everyone in random rooms regardless of gender. Thanks.

It depends on which dorm it is. I got Duren and I believe that they are separating the guys and girls by wing.

I still wanna know about the honors dorms =(

I'm pretty sure the honors dorms are by floor.

For example, floors one and three in Carothers are male floors. And the other two are female floors.

Blanton's separated by floors... which resulted in the joke "Blanton dormitory, where the women are on top" cause the women were on the 3rd thru 5th floors...

Is there any kind of curfew for the honors dorms kids or w/e? Are there any rules about guys/girls cant be in the room after such and such time etc at UT? How strict are the RA's as a whole?

Can anybody answer Faithful101's questions? I would also like to know.

If you think about it logically, coed dorms with community bathrooms NEED to have their floors separated by gender, lest guys and girls use the same bathrooms (I guess you could also separate each wing on each floor by gender and have coed floors that way, but it wouldn't be very practical).

No curfew. However, the back doors close at 10:00 each night (and open at 7:00 AM) so if you enter/leave during those times it has to be from the front doors.

I think last year the rule was that guys/girls in the other sex's room need to be out by one, but it completely varies by floor. Your RA should go over that one during the mandatory meeting you have in the next few days.

RAs in general are not that strict at all. At least mine wasn't. We had guys coming into our floor drunk all the time puking on the floor or bathroom stalls (it sucks try to use the toilet when the stall next to you is filled with throw-up). Also even though we settled for a 1 AM no girls in room rule, our RA really didn't care too much about it either. Nevertheless, our RA was kicked out during Spring Break last semester (for reasons I don't know why), so again it completely varies by your floor.
