Florida college scholarships for ACT of 33

We are having trouble finding scholarship opportunities for FSW and UCF based on merit for ACT scores of 33 and GPA of 3.5 (weighted 4.2)… any thoughts?

Are you an out of state student?

You should qualify for bright futures if you’re instate, it’s full tuition. If not, each school has their own merit scholarship system, but it’s up to the discretion of the school. If you haven’t looked at FSU yet, I’m currently a finalist for their presidential scholarship ($31,000) with near identical stats.

At UCF you will probably qualify for Pegasus Gold if you are in-state and apply early in the year. I’m not sure of the amount because I received Provost ($7500 per year) but it should be pretty close as it’s the next highest. OOS they give a Knights Achievement Fee Waiver.

At FSU a 33 qualifies you for a Full OOS waiver or a University Freshman Scholarship as long as their recalculated GPA is a 4.0 weighted for you. Like the previous poster mentioned, the Presidential Scholars is the only other scholarship offered but it’s not solely based on merit. It requires lots of essays, an interview weekend, and even then a very small amount of people get it each year (~25 people). I’m also a Finalist!

Good luck in your college search!
