Florida Finance

I want to go to the best University in Florida for Finance. Im between FSU and UF, but I dont know other universities in Florida. Help me pls internet wizards.

UF’s Heavener School of Business (and it’s Finance program) is significantly better than FSU’s program. The only comparable program in the state is at the University of Miami.

If you decide to look at U-Miami (a private university), you should also take a look at other out of state private colleges, like Emory (cost is all about the same).

I thought UF business school is called Warrington not Heavener. Did the name change recently?

@rgr717 Correct, it’s the Warrington College of Business Administration. Under the college are three schools:

Heavener School of Business
Fisher School of Accounting
Hough Graduate School of Business

The Finance undergrad program is in the Heavener School of Business. UF completed Heavener Hall, late last year, to house the business school (which is why I have Heavener on the brain). Next time I’m on campus (for game day or some such thing), I really have to check it out.

Thanks! I researched a little bit and found out that FSU has an acreditation of sorts in their business school while UF doesnt. Will this affect my career in the future¿

AACSB? About 20 universities have the accreditation in Florida, including UF.

Is there some other type of accreditation?
