<p>daviddj - to answer the question you are trying to ask, CARE would not have told the OP what awards they got yet. My daughter is CARE 2010 and her financial aid awards did not come out until everyone else’s (sometime in March or April, I forget). CARE does pay for your full first summer semester (food, housing, health insurance if necessary, books, additional funds for incidentals, etc.) if you qualify for even $1 of the PELL grant. One of the things that many people don’t know is if you enter through CARE you are eligible for the First Generation Grant (~$3000/yr) whereas no other incoming students ever will be. This is FSU’s policy - they only give this grant to CARE students. So that you have some concept of the financial aid awarded to a CARE student, my daughter was given about $10,000 in non-loan financial aid and our EFC was ~$4,000. She still had to take loans for the rest.</p>
