My son has been accepted in UCF, FSU and still waiting on UF. His stats are; ACT composite 32, GPA 4.0/4.5 Weighted with
10 Dual Enrolled credits.
He will major in CS and wants to start CO-OPing as soon as he can. We are hoping with his existing credits he can start after his first year of classes maybe. He does not want to just do a summer internship his Junior year.
We toured UCF and ventured off to see the impressive COOP department. So we are leaning to UCF simply because it seems very organized and focused on offering Cooperative Education but would actually like to meet with them beforehand to understand what he can expect. Do you think they would do that for admitted students?
We toured USF and were not impressed with the CS department at all in this regards so he did not even bother applying.
Planning to tour FSU April 1st and hopefully will hear from UF in March. FSU website had some information. Does anyone have experience with the COOP departments in these schools.
