The first time I practiced for the ACT in the Real ACT book, I got a 21 (I know, bad)
then, I studied for two weeks and got a 29 on the second practice test.
then, I studied for about a month (to conserve my real ACT practice tests)--> and got a 25

I got a 33 on my first practice test, a 27 on my next then a 32 on the third practice test. Finally on a real test, I got a 30. The section really depends on the type of questions so its a toss up. Hopefully saturday's test will be easy.

It depends on your strengths. I'm a Chem wiz, but when I see Biology, I always do poorly. The hardest passage can determine quite a bit of your score .. so sometimes it's just luck of the draw.
