Flunk out of CSU and Transfer to UC

I flunked out of a CSU my freshman year. Since then I have spent 2 years at a local community college and earned a 3.6 (not including my awful gpa from the CSU). Do I still have a chance to transfer into UCD? Does anyone have any similar experiences or advice to offer?

Thanks.

Yeah, I had the same experience as well and I am in fact going to Davis! Just don’t worry too much!

This happened to me as well, I got 6 F’s at a CSU and was disqualified. I will be attending UCR in the fall after getting around a 3.6 at a community college. You can still make it to a UC, you just need to make sure that you retake the equivalent of those classes at the community college. You can do this by going to assist.org and putting in your CC and the CSU you went to to find the closest match as far as classes you took in the past. This will only work for F’s. Any D’s you got will be big hits on your GPA. Also this will only work for the UC’s, the CSU’s will not replace your new grade. My advice is to just grind it out and do the best you can and try to get all A’s. When you finally transfer, prepare to be denied by most of the CSU’s. With some hard work and a little luck, you should be accepted to a couple UC’s willing to give you a second chance. I hope this helps.
