Follow-up Congrats?

Hey, I was wondering how many people received a letter from the dean extending another congratulations and "please join us" letter? I received one today...

D got one yesterday!

I just got one yesterday. Is there anyone out there who didn't get one?

i got one too. it makes it feel like youre special haha but im pretty sure everyone gets one

Yeah I got one too. The one with the list of faculty phone numbers? I think it's funny that it says we are "applicants Dean Rapelye went out of her way to mention"...yet they send the letter to everyone!

and the funny thing is...the letter stayed the same from when my sister got one five years ago...lol

Oh, Princeton....

Princeton's a scam.

My son got one. A real turn-off. Someone needs to muzzle that woman.

darn I felt special! heh oh well. i'll repeat echang's question...did anyone NOT get one??

S checked the facebook page and said that all had received it. Kind of silly to do something like that in the age of the web.

Well, even sillier is that my friend wanted to show off so he sent me his.

And, that was last year. They used the EXACT same letter as last year. Except, of course, with different dates.

psh...princeton. When I got that letter I was starting to feel a little guilty about not truly truly considering princeton and not going to their admit weekends...now not so much lol
Off to Boston to see MIT and Harvard then!

hahahaha my dad was soooo excited...

it was really gonna give them an edge over HPME too...

Haha...I love how everyone wants there to be someone who didn't get one so that they can feel special about it (dont worry I feel the same the way too...), but I still got one anyway...I'm pretty sure everyone does.

This is really funny. Man...and I thought Princeton really liked me. I guess not. haha.

Yeah I got one too. My dad was like probably everyone gets one so don't feel special!

Got one too. Well, least was a good temporary self-esteem booster, eh?

Hey everyone...you were accepted to Princeton out of a tremendous amout of applications. Princeton DOES think you are special. Be proud of your accomplishment. This is a tremendous accomplishment. Celebrate the moment!

My dd DOES feel proud and pleased and satisfied. That's not the issue. The point is that the letter is written as if it is sent to SOME of the admits, not ALL. And, since that's not true, it is disingenuous and off-putting. And silly on Princeton's part. They don't NEED to do something like this.
