Food around Columbia! Help please. :)

Hey, I'm looking for a food place where I can bring 10+ people to get food and go by Columbia U or Central Park. I'm not looking for a sit, dine, and be served kind of thing. More like order food and go somewhere and have a picnic-y thing. So does anyone know where I can find a place like this that is walkable from Columbia or upper Central Park?

Thanks! :]

Tom's restaurant for sure.

Thanks, but I decided to head to Riverside Park instead of Central Park since it's closer. So, is there anything nearby there? Sorry about the change in location.

And could you elaborate on Tom's restaurant? Thanks. :]

Look it up its famous due to seinfeld.

tom's is a diner, not really what you are looking for

assuming you are probably talking about lunch: nussbaum and wu, broadway around 113th or 114th. salad bar, sandwiches, toasted bagels with spreads, etc., made to order and wrapped to go.
there's also an italian grocery/deli on the opposite side of Broadway right below McBain (Columbia sophomore dorm).

forgot about nussbaum, but that's probably your best bet

Oh, cool. I think I'm going to head to Nussbaum then. Mucho gracias. :]

Pinnacle, HamDel, SubsConscious, etc.

That's Milano Market.

There's also Strokos.

pinnacle isnt really all that good....HamDel is slow (and if you want 10+ people you'll be waiting probably 30+ minutes)

subsconscious is good, that could also be another option...there's one on amsterdam and 120 (i think 120) and a new one on broadway and 109 (somewhere between 107-112 at least)

edit: milano market has good salads if you're interested in that tho

Ham Del is slow? Are you out of your mind? I've never seen more efficient service.

Agreed that Pinnacle sucks. Too bad they have one of the best locations in the nabe.
