Food at AFA?

they want to try to start bringing back exceptional meals like the steak and shrimp more often. General Regni was talking about it in his meeting with the returning exchangers from last fall.

but their “exceptional meal” was a cooked-to-death steak and breaded shrimp. i’d rather have the new chicken tenders. or teriyaki chicken. or buffalo chicken wraps.

yuuuuuuum!!!

Sounds good to me. :D

really? both steaks i had were extremely tender and delicious. and the shrimp was pretty good too, although i did soak it in cocktail sauce.

i do miss getting dessert though… i guess its cause we’re too fat. lol

I’m not fat :frowning: I barely weigh 107… Maybe I shouldn’t have given blood on Wednesday.

Back in '78 when my dad was at the AFA, they apparently had steak and lobster every Friday night. I guess the budget has changed :D

Actually our budget nearly doubled for food this year. Food has been getting better. Though, ham and cheese tomorrow is awful. ugh.

true statement about ham and cheese.

giraffe, you’re not, but eagle is.

Also a true statement!

ok, i’ll admit i’m fat, but grilled ham and cheese is yummy as long as you don’t get the soggy or burnt batches. the last several times i’ve had it its been delicious.

and i’ve reverted to bringing my own dessert, or going to hornet’s room. his mom sent him some chocolate covered pretzels and cookies which were AMAZING, thats after i ate most of the cookies and brownies she gave me and Nate for our cruise.

oh, and my mommy just sent me an easter package full of candy and sweets. YUM!

Well, we can definitely agree the food is a lot better than our 4 dig year!
I can remember getting iridescent green ham…:(

“oh, and my mommy just sent me an easter package full of candy and sweets. YUM!”

Not fair, my mommy didn’t send me anything :frowning: I spent my Easter weekend writing a paper proposal…not even the paper itself.

Psh, I found a chunk of brown sugar in my cereal box. Beat that :P

haha i’ve eaten the glowing red-blue-green beef before. ick

sometimes, the food on the weekend is reeeeeeally good. just because no one is there to eat it, so they can take their time to cook it decently :)

i remember one time on a sunday after church i went in to mitch’s and they had a chocolate fountain! best day ever

I personally like the ham and cheese, even the soggy ones Eagle. I like most of the food here lol, only time I don’t is when they repeat it often (breakfast). Also Eagle, I think your mother would want you to share the Easter package you got, and I am sure your mother would want you to share yours Hornet. ;)

nobility, two things:

you know my mother, so you’re probably right

you know where i live, so stop by. in fact, you could swing by after SPIRE tonight, since you either go to Catholic SPIRE or to the mandatory briefing…

I thought the food was pretty good while I was there. Granted, I had cereal for breakfast, but all the rest was decent.

My high school lunch has definitely not set the bar high, though.
