I wanted to ask about my chances of getting into Cal Poly if I chose Food Science as my major?
IS it a very popular or impacted major?
I don’t want to do Nutrition but would rather focus on Food Technology.

<p>I applied Food Science for Early Decision!! I applied with the Culinary concentration though. The projection for acceptance for Food Science ED is 79% apparently. I don’t know if that helps but that’s all I know. Good luck! </p>
<p>I applied for food science early decision as well Do you think the ED admission would be out by dec. 5? I heard some people receive it as early as dec. 5 depending on the major. </p>
<p>I have no idea when it will be out!!! I think they send out replies by college and I don’t know when the ag college is 
it’s killing me I need to know hahaha</p>
<p>Oh how did you find out the projection for food science? I looked for the freshmen profile stats and it said about 2000 people get accepted out of around 4000 that apply for the food,agriculture, and environmental science but I think that was the total of early and regular admits. Hopefully it’ll be out sooner!</p>
<p>People were talking about projections on another thread and I asked them what food science was. I know they did some sort of math or something I’m really not sure haha sorry. They were discussing it on the official cal poly ed 2015 thread</p>
