How hard are these to get as freshman? And how much?
Also, do you guys know if its possible to get extra tickets for friends or family?

They have reserved student tickets, a Viterbi student told me that they send us a letter in the summer asking if we want to buy season passes, and we can buy them then. He said that it is about 150 dollars I think. I’m not sure about that actaully, but I dont think they are hard to get as freshman.

Football season tickets to the home games at the Coliseum are 150 dollars for students. I’m pretty sure basketball is free along with the other sports (first come first served) but I am not 100% sure… someone is going to need to confirm this.

there was a whole big deal a couple years ago because there weren’t enough student seats for one of the BIG games and like almost a riot so USC put aside roughly 16,000 seats for students and the Collosieum which is roughly the amount of undergraduate students, so ergo there should be no problem getting tickets for football games.

What about buying extra tickets for friends?

Football tickets are $145 for students for all 6 home games in the student section, you are guaranteed one as long as you buy it before the deadline. They are first come, first serve and if you want to sit close to the field you have to get there early. The seats are in the NE corner and start at the 10 or 15 yard (I think, its been a few months) and go east until the end zone. The section is shaped funny and the later you get there, the further east you sit. They’ll send you more info on student tickets later.
Here’s a pic: <a href=“ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs”>ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs;
This was at the Ohio St. game and we never really got a student section crowd this large after that so you really don’t have to worry about sitting on the top top so much.

Basketball games are free with your ID card and are first come, first serve. Nobody really goes to the games except for the UCLA game so you don’t have to worry about getting there too early. The seats are behind the north basket and most students wear their yellow Trojan Fever shirts.

As for individual extra tickets for your friends and family, they aren’t for sale yet unless you want season tickets. They’ll be on sale later on the athletics website. You can also try Stubhub.com when the season gets closer. These tickets are obviously not in the student section so they won’t be next to you. Once the game starts, a friend or two can come down and sit with you, they stop checking for wristbands. You used to be able to borrow someone’s ID, swipe their card, and go to the game but they started cracking down this past year and actually look at the picture on the ID now.

Thanks for the picture War Chant!

I’ve been wondering about this…How do students get seats next to friends? I thought they got them through the mail or online? Do the freshman have to go stand in line to buy them? If so, I guess you just get in line with your friends?

You buy the student football ticket online and they put it on your USC ID card. On gameday, the gates open 2-3 hours before the game for students. When you go to the game, they swipe your card to make sure you have a ticket and they give you a wrist band. The wrist band allows you to enter the student section before the game. If you want to sit next to your friends, you guys can all go in a group or have a few people go and save seats (you really aren’t supposed to save seats but people do it anyways, I’m guilty) and then you can come later and sit next to your friends.

Great! Thanks so much! This is exactly what we were wondering!

Exciting, huh? I really can’t wait to watch USC dominate!

So, if I had a roomate who bought a ticket but didn’t want to go to the game, could I use that for a non-USC friend?

The ID is the ticket. Sometimes people will do this, but it is a bad idea- your ID has your picture on it, and if they find that the picture doesn’t match the person, they will confiscate the ID. That would probably make your roommate pretty angry.

Yeah, but I hear they’re checking the photos now.

Can you buy tickets to individual games if you’re a student? or do you have to go for the 6 game package?

what if you want to take a family member… would you have to buy two normal tickets… i promised my 10 year old cousin I would take him to a game… and well he’s 10 he won’t pass for no college student.

Yeah, anyone can buy individual tickets, they will go on sale closer to when the season starts as far as I know. You can also check http://www.stubhub.com/usc-football-tickets/
