Football Parking 2010

Hi,
We will be going to the football game at USC tomorrow (vs Washington). I know there is supposed to be a lot of people at the tailgates at the school and for the game and that we should arrive early in order to park. Are there any secrets to parking? Is the charge to park more on game day than on other days? Is it better to park in school parking structures further away from the stadium? Any information would be helpful.

Thanks.

bump for the cal game in 2 weeks
parking was imposible and expensive for the washington game

Hi,
For the Washington game, we ended up going to the Parking Center (UPX) at Jefferson and Grand. We arrived at 1:15 pm (we had a tailgate to go to). The parking WAS expensive, but that is not unheard of for any football game that I have been to. The Parking Center was very easy to get into (with lots of spaces) and once we left, around 9:30 p.m., it was easy to get out of. If I recall correctly, other lots started to fill to capacity at around 11:45 a.m. (starting with Parking Structure X) at Figueroa and McCarthy Way (Gate 3).

my parents parked at the parking center right next to Tuscany on fig and exposition (i think the entrance is at fig and 32 place though). It was 25 bucks, not too outrageous. my parents arrived 2 hours before kick off and got parking. best part is, when you’re ready to leave, it’s the closest parking structure to the coliseum!
