Football Parking

Anyone know of any good spots to park for the football game, preferably on campus? I really can't bike, it's not an option, but I don't mind a walk and I'd like to avoid buses if possible. Anyone think trying to park about an hour and a half before the game would be good enough to find a space somewhere?

GO GATORS!!!! Everyone who's going to the game: have fun and stay cool!

What's wrong with the buses? Gville's bus system is nice compared to most cities.

This probably sound stupid but I tend to have anxiety attacks when I'm on buses, so I try to avoid them when I can.

Just park anywhere on campus. I usually park near the health science buildings.

People start parking on campus really early on game days. Like 7:30am. Your best bet for parking on campus is the area between Carr/Barr going down the hill and in front of Shands/Academic research building.

The bus system isn't like your average city bus that homeless people defecate on. It's extremely nice and most buses only really shuttle UF students around because it's a free ride. I won't go near the bus system where I live now (Atlanta) but Gainesville was definitely about as good as public transportation gets.

I parked in Criser Hall and didn't have a problem...

RChris, how'd you get into Criser? I tried and they had it all blocked off!

Technically, Criser is for displaced Red-1's (Murphree reds and some other ones) on game days. However, enforcement varies.

Yeah...I drove there...saw the parking woman sitting on the bench...asked if I could park...she said "Do you have a red decal?" I said, "yes" And thats all that happened...the lot was relatively empty and I was fine there the whole time. I'm not really sure when it was blocked though...
