Do incoming freshman have a chance at getting the lottery season tickets? And if I dont how big of a deal is it? Can I still get into most games?
Yes to all of your questions; you’ll likely get tickets if you enter the lottery, it’s a big deal, and even without season tickets you can get into most games.
Last year, after the lottery, they still had plenty of student season tickets available for sale. You could still buy them in late August.
Having season tickets does make it easier to get seats with your friends, etc.
I would 100% apply for the ticket lottery! Pretty much everyone on campus goes and the games are super fun.
Definitely apply for the lottery. It makes it easier to get seats with friends, and you can enroll in block seating once Fall classes start. Most sororities, fraternities, and large clubs do this.
I just want to add on to something Gator88NE said - every year is different when applying for the lottery. When we play better, there is higher demand for tickets. I wouldn’t definitely count on student tickets being available in August. They might be, but to be safe, I would register for the original lottery in April/May. We have a new coach this year, and there might be a surge over last year (when everyone was really over Muschamp).
@GatorGrad23 Do you know how freshman apply for season tickets? I’m still going to be in high school in April and may as im not going to UF until summer B starts.
@Financemajor22 I would stalk this website: http://www.gatorzone.com/students/football. It seems that they are doing things a little different this year - new students won’t be able to sign up until July 27th and instead of a lottery, it’s being done on a first come first served basis. When you go to preview, I would ask for clarification.
