Sec. 41 row 68

There probably won't be any students there huh?

I think I'll just go to the first game and if I don't like the atmosphere I'll just sell all my tickets.

Sec. 41, Row 68 isn't bad at all. You will have a good view of the action. There really isn't a bad seat in the Big house, except for a few at the top of Sections 20 and 26. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great no matter where you sit.

Well.. the thing is that I've heard quite a few horror stories about the fans outside of the student section. They really tend to dislike people standing up and things like that. If I get yelled at for standing up to root my team I'm probably going to be so angry I'll just put my tickets on ebay the next day and sell them at face value.

Alperez, posts like that make Bo Schembechler turn over in his grave.

Well.. its what I've been told by quite a few people. And a few bloggers seem to confirm that notion..

""Truth is," I said, "not really." I told him that about the only time you hear a Michigan fan in the alumni section scream is when he yells "Down in front!" at one of the few truly vocal Wolverine supporters in Michigan Stadium (I think I even said that chant should replace the more famous "Let's Go Blue!" cheer as it's probably uttered more during games)."

I read another story about a kid who got an ice cream cup thrown at his head when he stood up to sing The Victors..

You can still stand in the non-student section, you just can't do it the whole game. Basically on big plays and things like that, lots of people will stand up, but then they sit back down in between plays. Definitely not as spirited as the student section, but then again the only games I went to before I became a student were the blowout games that were easy to get tickets for. Not too much to cheer for when you're curbstomping Rice or Eastern Michigan.

Alparez, roughly 110,000 people attend each game. I am sure a lot of things happens in those games. The odds of those things happening to you aren't that great. Cheer any way you like and enjoy the games, as long as it is respectful, you won't have any problems.

sigh section 29, row 92...

Losing to Appalacian State at half time???? We are..... Penn State.

Don't worry I beat all of you in terms of bad seats: Section 26, Row 97.

But after being at App State game, I've found out it's pretty easy to move around... :P
