Football!

I know I’m terribly excited for the football game against Northwestern this weekend. I suppose I have a couple questions for current parents (or students):

1) Did you (your son/daughter) purchase football tickets?

2) If not, why not?

3) Have they ever been to an OSU game before?

She bought them online June 2nd. She's a little concerned that she'll know no one around her assigned seat. Someone told her that everyone shuffles around after a while and she's hoping she'll find someone to sit with.

We've never been to a game (400+ miles and all that) but we did attend a football viewing party at an area alumni get-together held in a hotel (large) sports bar. They have an agreement with the management and about 200 people gather there on game days. They invited the new area freshmen and gave them OSU frisbees and pom-poms. It was really fun.

It should be very exciting this Saturday when they break the school record. I'm really happy for D. Her HS was new when she was a freshman and I don't think the football team ever won 2 games in a row.

Yeah, while there are "assigned" seats in the student section, it's more of just a generality...the students stand the entire game, so there's really never an issue with "needing" a seat.

Yes, my daughter purchased football tickets at 12:01 on the date they were allowed to do so. She is participating in block O and is soooo excited. Her grandfather, who is 90, has purchased season tickets for 60 years. She was never interested in going to a game with him until last year when she started considering Ohio State as a college choice.

She purchased her basketball tickets last week and is excited to see that they will be having a student section on the floor. She can't wait to make some noise and give the home team the advantage it deserves. :)

Go Bucks!

Basketball has become increasingly more exciting to watch on this campus, as more and more students are coming to the games...now if only they would get us out from behind the baskets...

Why are some of the football game times TBA?

It's ultimately the TV stations that decide what time a game will start. The TBA is because whatever tv channel the game is playing on hasn't yet announced the time.
