I just called the admissions office and learnt that the decisions for all internationals were fed exed yesterday....if we're lucky, we should know by the end of the week. (except if they decided to save money and use economic 5 day shipping!) but now that would be cruel!
so I was all hyper when I heard that and thought I d share the anxiety!

oh yeah? WOW!!! dang its gonna be on the edge for me till saturday!!!!

ahhh i'm super excited! unless they only fedex decisions to overseas people..

Wait dont get your hopes too high... This is an email from NU

Some decisions have been mailed, but not all. We will be mailing decisions

Hi

Thank you for your response. I've heard that International Decisions have been fedexed. Is that true?

Sincerely, Waleed

What if you're an international student by default, but you live in the US? What happens then?

exactly same situation here

well they mention "overseas" in the email

i wonder what happens to people in canada..its international but not overseas. HM...

yeah they only fed ex to people overseas but I rechecked an they did fedex it all to people living outside US, not sure about Canada though...

holy crap. i hope i get something by the end of this week! $h1T!!! im scared!!! (international student in hong kong) AHHH!

I'm domestic but living in Jordan..I guess I'm included..

Now if they sent it on the 20th that means we'll hear on Saturday..OMG

Good luck to all.....shivers

how long is that fedex suppose to take?? and.. do they deliver to your house and require signature?

Like waleed I got this reply.

Hi ------,

Some international decisions have been mailed but not all. We will be
notifying applicants via e-mail late next week.

Northwestern University

So unless we get a nice fat package in the mail, I guess we won't know till the 30th, huh?

Nerj, fed-ex usually takes about 3 days. I'm not sure if they require a signature--I live in a building so the doorman usually signs if it requires a signature. If you do get a package, I'm guessing you'll get it by the end of this week, if they mailed it on the 21st.

why are the fedexng decisions? can't everyone check on the world wide web at the same time?

I talked to my counselor and she figured it out.....they fed exed a few decisions and not all because they only sent fed exs to the admitted students....the ones refused will probly find out online.apparently they cannot spend too much money on fed ex whcih is really pricey so they only bother for the ones they admit... it kinda makes sense actually....why send a thin and sad letter of denial through fed ex, rather than regular mail....I guess the lucky ones will find out this week end then...hope I m one of them!

My friend found out today. She got into Medill.

Im overseas, got in last year. They fedex only to the ones they accept. So if u dont get fedex before april 1st ur prob not in as they send int decisions very early... Sorry...

what about int'ls in the states

again.. what about canada?!
