vancouver...................a public school which is not very competitive

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA: and by the way, I LOVE MY school! even though it's not the "Most-highly ranked hyper-competitive ultra-private boarding academy" in the country. It's Killarney.

Hey dinazhang, which school do you go to?

Killarney?
where is it?is it in Richmond or Burnaby?

my school is Vancouver Technical SS

It's in Vancouver.

Toronto, A.Y. Jackson Secondary School

o i really don't know that school
is it a private school?

Montreal, Westmount high

ours is a public school, but its HARD

mine is the best english public high school here, but it sucks still,

Killarney is the largest public secondary institution in British Columbia.

A.Y. is definitely one of the top schools in Toronto

anyone from Quebec here? need some advise about CEGEP

jenok89... I just graduated from western... best school in Alberta, imo.

Now it's off to UBC. :)

liangshengtm: What about CEGEP?

as you know there are 2 years of CEGEP and 11 years of elementary+secondary school, therefore its like 13th grade, but I hear I still need to study 4 years if I attend a US college, which means I will graduate 1 year later than other Canadians
and which CEGEP college is the best in Monteral in terms of elite college in US?

AFAIK, some American universities might credit you one year if you've done cegep. As for colleges in Montreal, I'm not the person to ask (you might want to ask some silly elitist kids from Marianopolis and Jean-de-Br

toronto... went to northern secondary

is it true that they are taking calculus (no more ap calc then?) out of the canadian curric? because that must be annoying for those of you applying to the states/europe....

I wanna go to Marianopolis, but don know if its a good choice

LindsayRees: yes its true-- they are changing the calculus course to just advanced functions--- but its after this year, so I'm in the last class to take gr 12 calc
