My number was in the 4000s, but it doesn't matter because I got housing in phase 1. The CSC list is interesting. You actually see the names of the students. I think my last name is the most common. There's over one page's worth of people with my last name.

By the way, "redski59 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space." Just FYI

Well, I was with a group that had 1700, so I went today.
When we went at 6pm, Webb and Troy were pretty much all gone. We got Cardinal Gardens, but those units were going very fast too.

As of Friday, if you're in a large group I believe your only hope would be Founders or one of the bldgs in that area.

Yeah, I knew it was going to happen, after asking a bunch of upperclassmen how their Phase 3's went. Do you know the availability of single occupancy USC housing?

Hey proto, I believe all the singles were gone. They did have spaces left in Webb and Troy where 3 people were already assigned to a 4-person apt and they needed one more person to fill it, but I wouldn't be surprised if those are gone too. If you're going to R3 on Friday, then I'd expect to get a spot in Founders, Regal Trojan, or Sierra.

I was just wondering since I have a friend who is probably going to live alone next year. I snagged The Pallazo in Conquest housing with 3 other guys. I'm all set! Thanks for the info.

If you guys have a bad number, and consequently can't even get USC housing, don't worry just yet. After my freshman year, housing had filled up even before my appointment. I put myself on the wait list, and maybe around April I was placed into Annenberg House. Now, that's not too bad of a place, but I asked for reassignment (and I was really picky, only 2B4P and only Troy, Troy East, or Webb) and sometime in the early summer, I got into Troy East! So it can happen (both getting off the wait list, and getting reassignment).

I looked at Conquest, but I wasn't really a fan. I talked to housing, though, and they said that basically everyone on the wait list who wanted housing could get housing. They said to hold out, and probably around April I would get an assignment (that was based on where I was on the waiting list).

My friend had the first lottery number so four of us all were the first undergraduates to choose housing. Lady luck is so sweet at times. Webb all the way!

1700 is not very good... Yes, the first 1000 are all grad students, but USC just doesnt own that much housing considering that the 700 people in front of you have the option of rooming with friends... My friend had 1100 and we went today - got into Troy Hall, but it seems as though the numbers remaining were relatively low. Anything outside of 2000 is almost hopeless, except for waitlisting... Good luck!

Cubs, you have to remember that they don't assign numbers consecutively...meaning that there may be a 1025, but then the next number assigned is 1031 w/ no one having 1026-1030. Plus people who already got housing in phases 1 and 2 also had lottery numbers assigned to them, even though they didn't need them.
As for 1700 not being good, I got Cardinal Gardens. What's not good about that? It's better than being on the waitlist, that's for sure.
