For current students: Housing R3

What are your plans for housing next year? For those who have done R3, please tell me how good or bad 2710 is for a lottery number.

At least you have a lottery number! I do not. I don't even know if that is a good number. I really want to try to get housing in Webb but I doubt it will happen. How did you get a number?

***I just checked my email. Sorry, I just woke up. My R3 number is 2177. Alright! But what does it all mean?

I've heard anything in the 1000, 2000 range is really good and you'll probably get your first/second choice. Undergrad numbers start at 1000 I think. The exact number doesn't matter, just the range. And the range determines what time you can go for R3. ( I don't think they've poster R3 times yet) I've got 5516....hopefully I get housing.

I have a pretty awful number, in the 5000's, but my roommates number is in the 3000s, which is a bit better. Hopefully we will get something okay.

My friend has 1000, the lowest! Hopefully he will let me room with him.

One of my friends has 1700, but he's already gotten housing with some guys going to Conquest's new Tuscany bldg. (lucky bastard  )

I'm hoping for Webb too, although Cardinal Gardens or Troy is fine with me.

sirwatson, you've got to be jk! if he does room with you, then ur a lucky bastard too!

I had in the 2000s, but I got what I wanted in Phase 1, so my number doesn't really matter any more.

No, I think it starts from 1. I saw someone in the lists at South CSC with a lottery number of 2.

i'm hoping for webb/troy hall

protokurious, you're kind of right. Grad students/families get lottery numbers 1-999, then undergrads get 1000-6999. It's in pg. 5 of the R3 brochure.

Why would there be graduates/families in South side (Pardee, Marks Tower, Marks Hall, Trojan)?

proto-there are certain graduate specific buildings that undergraduates cant get into. and viceversa

I know...that's why I'm asking my question, because I saw numbers like 2, 46, and 114 on the list at specifically undergrad housing buildings.

proto-what they do is post up the WHOLE ENTIRE LIST of everybody doing r3 and that includes the undergrads and grads.

I see, now you tell me.

whoa, they posted the entire list at your csc? That's odd, cuz they didn't do that at the Parkside csc and when I asked the guy said that the numbers were given by email only.

They posted a lot of pages at my CSC, but for some reason I didn't think it was 6000 names. We also got our numbers through email. I don't really care though because I got housing already through Phase 1.

at south side CSC it was probably all of them, they went from the windows of CSC to the side. i saw numbers like 3, 245 and like 6849

I was so curious that I had to pay a visit to the south csc today to check out the lists. All I can say is that's a lot of names, especially in the 1000-2000 range. I'm kind of worried now.

i'm a bit worried about it too, but one of the girls i'm living with next year has a good lotto number. :]
