I took the AMC-12 today and scored 118.5... Last December I took the SAT for the first time which resulted in a math score of 690.... What do you think should be a comfortable level for next time I take it if I do "well" on the SAT math 2 subject test? BTW, this is for the college of engineering.

AMC isn't exactly a standardized test, but I'm sure if you got a 118.5 (same as me) you shouldnt have too much problem with SAT II math...
Just take a few practice tests and see... after a little studying maybe you should definitely get 800

I got 104 on the AMC and 760 on SATI. 800 on 2c though.

How do you check your AMC score so early?

The math teacher who runs the exam for my school photcopies our answer sheets and works out all the answers himself and tells us what we got. It's not official, but I don't think it's ever been wrong.

My school gets a package of solution booklets so we can find out the answer right away.

Anyone with over 100 on AMC should be able to get 800 on both SAT I and SAT II math easily. (I am an exception because I tend to be highly inaccurate, so my SAT I math was 760... so I took it again in January)
My AMC is 125.5
