<p>Every new crop of students submitting online applications needs to know the Legend of the Clam Fart incident, which has a very happy ending (allegedly).</p>

<p>In 2008, a student while being silly typed "clam fart" in her CA extracurricular list as a joke. Said she'd been doing it for 17 years. AND FORGOT TO EDIT IT OUT BEFORE SHE SUBMITTED THE APP. To Yale.</p>
