I got my acceptance in the mail yesterday :)

I got my acceptance letter yesterday!

How excited seeing my acceptance letter now ! My dream comes true ! I am still looking forward to the gear interview as well.

My biggest fear is my family may not be able to afford my attending to U of R without any scholarship and aids.

This is what two weeks away from CC does to a person, I didn’t know that they were sending acceptance letters before the end of March! I checked the mail and felt like I was in a Zappo’s commercial, I wasn’t emotionally prepared for the “Welcome to Rochester” envelope! hahaha
I’m pretty sure I’m excited right now, but the reality is taking a bit to set in ;)

My son’s UROC Homepage says his application is still in the hands of the first reader! Given that invitations have already been sent to potential Renaissance Scholars and that his application hasn’t been read, is it fair to say that he wasn’t even considered for the scholarship?

DrSeuss… We will still give consideration to students that have not had a first read yet. Your son will be considered.

MConklin, when do the decisions for REMS come out and are they emailed or sent by mail?

Sanguine, I believe they will send the decision out by mail. It’s traditional for colleges to draw out the anxiety -__-

Hi, I also just got my acceptance letter!!! I’m so incredibly happy and shocked and would love to attend Rochester. But I also have the same problems with money issues. My parents’ income is around 25,000 and I applied for fafsa but I’m not sure how much I’ll receive. Can you tell me when scholarship letters come in? I would love to go to RU but I don’t think we can afford it at all!

Congrats dabinlee9858… Scholarship/financial aid information should come within a week. Good luck!

MConklin - We were expecting the financial aid info to come via snail mail, like the admissions decision. However, from another recent post, it sounds like we should be expecting an e-mail directing us to a web site. Can you confirm this? Thanks.

It will come via an email that will have the link and the ID number to log into the FA award area.

Dabinlee9858

be careful and fully read the financial aid info. It will look like all of it is covered but actually a lot of it will be loans. Which u have to repay

My application is in stage four. I applied for the Simon case competition and am wondering when I will hear back. Does anyone know?
