Hi,
You are a huge proponent of Wesleyan, for all excellent reasons. My son applied to Wesleyan, because he too really liked it! Unfortunately, it has been almost 2 weeks since he heard from all his other schools (5 admissions/1 waitlist/ 1 rejection) and in the interim it has been difficult for him to maintain a sense of enthusiasm for Wesleyan (though he would like to, it really does suit him well, even with his newly in place stringent criterion).

We live overseas and our mail reaches us through a US pouch. The admissions office knows we live overseas, my son met the Admissions representative at his school last year! Our mail can take 2-3 weeks to reach us. He has emailed for information, but has not heard back as of yet. We will call tonight our time (12 hours time difference) as we are planning a trip to visit several of the schools to which he has been accepted next week. I would like to encourage him to see Wesleyan if he has been admitted. His father, who has been less involved and is now looking at stacks of input from other schools, but nothing from Wesleyan, is feeling it is not necessary...(just an honest input...it is not only students who can be impacted by early/late notification discrepancies).

If you are in a person of any influence in the Wesleyan admissions office, can I please encourage you to suggest to them that they, like all the other fine LAC's to which my son applied (and was accepted), might consider sending notification to Applicants living overseas (not only internationals) by e-mail...

Perhaps he has not been admitted and hence there is no urgency for Wesleyan admissions to inform him. From our perspective, the courtesy would still be appreciated!
