Ugh.. Hi guys. My sophomore year is almost ending and I never thought I would become a junior.. but now I can realize that's not true.. :( I'm feeling a little anxious.. I'm going to take 3 APs (Bio, Spanish, and US History).

I have all my hopes riding on ONE college. It's a match/reach at that.
Ugh. I'm not ready for the admissions process

which college? don't you think thats a bit risky?

Michigan.

It isn't risky. It's not that i'm only applying to this one college its just that I can't imagine myself going anywhere else. I have solid safeties lined up.

ooo I see, sorry, I misinterpreted your post. I feel the same way...but mine is really risky.

Same here... the colleges on my list are actually really really REALLY risky for me. I need a grand miracle to make this all come true.

Oh no, not another perilous road! I thought Junior Year was bad enough =)

I can't personally believe it is summer but what is even scarier for me is after this summer I am going to be a junior.
Unlike a lot of people on this board I am not applying to an ivy league and I am really not at all smart. On the PSATs I did not make into the 200's so no ivy for me. I am thinking of Banard or University of Chicago but there is no chance for me I think.
This year's schedule, I am only taking US history Ap(I took European history Ap and I am guessing I did terrible-on the essays-any advice for DBQs + the free responses is appreciated)
I am self studying AP world history and Ap Environmental.
For this summer I am doing some community service with friends, setting up a program for kids to explore nature, earning my last award before starting the Gold award for girl scouts, LEAP-leadership program with community service.
I don't know when I am going to take the SAts-any suggestions would be great-and how to study would be a plus:)
This may I am going to try and take the subject test for US history.

Misty: take the ACT! You might do a lot better, it's so much more straightforward.

oasis: Agreed. Why can't we have a reasonably safe interstate or something instead right?

LOL dummerdude! :D

I'm pretty terrified of this summer & fall 2006. I just received my first ACTUAL application in the mail, and I'm filling out a pre-app next week where I'm actually declaring my major and everything. Honestly, didn't this time seem so far away when we started junior year?

self studying APs in order to not take the class but to take the test?

question: if say I get a 5 in APUSH test without taking APUSH class (meaning self studied), does APUSH class appear on the transcript>? or just the test score?

I don't think AP scores are a factor in admissions.

Nope, APUSH wouldn't appear on your transcript. At my school, all your AP scores are automatically put on your transcript, so I would assume that the 5 in APUSH would go on there, even if you didn't take the class.

Ooo I hope AP scores don't go on my transcript! lip quivers

Anyways, what is up with those stupid pre-app sheets? I got one from Georgetown. I smell a new thread.

^hell yeah. I though senior year would never come, it seemd mroe like an urban legend or one of those stories that happens to a friend but you think will never happen to you. ****, reality hurts.

how come I haven't recieved any preapp/apps? crap, I hate being an internationl ( actually I don't hate it, it just annoys me that we get stuff like 5 months later).....

Don't worry, I don't think it's a normal thing to get them this early. Plus, everyone ends up filling them out online anyway.

Yeah I guess. Although I think it would be fun to fill out some apps, for pratice hahahaha. I can't wait until december/april to find out where we got accepted.

Hey everyone, the highly anticipated thread "for SENIORS who are ready to get onto the PERILOUS ROAD" has just been launched College Confidential. All upcoming seniors are strongly encouraged to post on the thread just created for those entering the class of 2011. Let's rock and roll. :)

Jimmy

I am officially done with JUNIOR YEAR!!! =DDDDD
