For people who know EAST coast colleges!

Hi, I've made too many discussions already but I just feel really lost. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
I have a 34 act score with a 7 essay (ugh! but I did get an 8 on my 33 act test). I SUCK at the sat and I don't really want to spend my time studying for it now that I am 4 months away from the due date of college apps. I took SAT subject tests though, 730, 710, and a math 2 of 660 (which I am going to retake). Should get a 750+

My question is whether the East coast colleges I am looking at are going to look down upon my sending of only my ACT and the subject tests? I am looking at: Boston College, Brown, Georgetown, University of Richmond, William and Mary, and Duke. Most kids submit sat scores at these schools; I think 80% at Duke. I just don't want to be at a disadvantage! Anyone?

not really. both are treated equally. and 34 won’t be bad lol. it’ll come down to other parts of your application such as essays, ECA, academic rigor or such things for selective ones (Brown, Georgetown, Duke).

@drexter‌ will the 7 hurt me? I am actually a really good writer, I just can’t write under timed conditions very well.

The 34 is good. They won’t look down on you, especially if you send in your SAT II scores as well. However, I sincerely hope you have more match/safety schools lined up to apply to as well!

You’re fine.

They won’t look down on you for your ACT. Even if more people do send in the SAT and the adcoms are more familiar with the SAT, they use a converter to get a good idea of what you got. SATII’s definitely won’t put you at a disadvantage.

Thanks for all the info guys! (And, yes I’ve got more matches/safeties on the west coast) :)
