For Prospective Students!!

Oh and I dont mean a “Foreign Student” I mean I am a student who is focused/planning to have a career in international studies/relations.
Allow me to talk about myself a bit :slight_smile:
My GPA is very low: 3.1 and my school doest rank, but it is private and quite prestigious
My SAT: 2100
Math:680, CR:640, Writing: 780 (not super-scored/in one test sitting)
AP’s: AP Bio, AP Lang, APES, took the AP World test as well. Did okay on them, not bio though :confused:
Took two subject tests today in Math2 and Lit. Thought they went well.

My older brother graduated from Middlebury and I hope to do the same. Some things that definitely set me apart from the crowd are the fact that I can read and write in Korean, am conversational in Chinese and Spanish, and plan to continue in the foreign language field. My entire mom’s half of the family is Hispanic and my dad is German so I qualify as a minority. I have also just published a children’s book called “Philips Mission” which is all about preserving one’s imagination as a child and through adulthood and will be talking about that in one of my essays. I play saxophone and I am very serious about Fencing. Midd doesnt have a fencing team but I am nationally ranked and the third best fencer in the southern california scholastic league and number one on my team. I spent 30 days on Outward Bound in the Colorado Rockies and it totally changed me/my academic outlook, which is why there is such a huge academic difference between junior and senior year. So, what do you think? I am going for ED 2 and would love to end up at Middlebury.

do you guys think my hook was good enough? really involved with foreign languages. i study 4 and i did the middlebury monterey language academy

anyone want to respond? haha

I think you have great chances appleton! :slight_smile: I think it’s really cool that you also published a book, and fencing certainly isn’t common.

I feel like most the people out there asking to be chanced have insane resum

Another thing. I’m taking upper level German classes in college and have a mark of proficiency on my UofM transcript. I want to go for international relations. I’m self-studying Serbo-croatian.

UofM = Michigan, Minnesota, Maryland?

… Maine?
