For Prospective Students

if you're going to ask about your chances, make sure you tell us what school you're looking at/applying to. otherwise, it does no good, and people here won't be able to help you as well as they could.

hopefully people will actually listen to/read this advice.

on a completely different note, if you guys have any questions, i'll try and answer them as best as i can

This is a stern specific question: what would you say are the strongest majors in Stern?

i think finance would reign supreme.

That's hard to say. I know everyone says that finance is good, and Stern is ranked 2nd in finance. However, these rankings are somewhat biased, and mostly people think it's good only because of its geographic proximity to Wall Street. Honestly, there are so many great programs at Stern--real estate (Lou Crocker is amazing), law, actuarial science, accounting. It's a shame people only see Stern for finance.
