for the girls: undereye circles (help)

I've done the water thing and the potato thing and the ive thing, but the crux of the matter is: I'm staying up late for Academic Decathlon, and not getting enough sleep.

"Death warmed over twice and left to curdle" is not a good look.

Any tips?

get a facial?
cucumbers?

Really..the only thing that will help is sleep. I did hear that steamed tea bags might help, but drinking lots of water & sleep is the best route to go. And some girls still get undereye circles, even girls with generally healthy lifestyles. Cucumbers usually help with puffiness cuz the coldness soothes the eyes. Anyway..good luck..:)

sleep. superquiz. sleep. superquiz. sleep. supezzzzzzzzz.....

If you have dark undereye circles you can try concealer. But use YELLOW concealer (Walgreens and other places will have it.) The regular concealer is for covering red (as in pimples), and the yellow is for bluish undereye circles.

what are the "the water thing and the potato thing and the ive things?"

i read models use hemmeroid(sp?) cream

There are eye treatments/creams, but concealer is less expensive

Play Sticks by Benefit (<a href="http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P6064&shouldPaginate=true%5B/url%5D">http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P6064&shouldPaginate=true</a>) work wonders for me. In the morning, I dab a little in the inner corner of my eye and I'm good to go.

A bit pricey at $30 but you get about a year's worth of use out of one. Complete coverage like panstick makeup without the pansticky look. Great for covering up redness, zits, etc. too. I sound like an advertisement, ha Otherwise, sadly sleep is the only way to go and there's no way I get enough.

what can you do to cover them up if they're genetic? i somehow cant find a concealer that doesnt look weird...

the trick is to not only put on concealer, because thats not what its made for. what you should do is dot on a little yellow based concealer under yur eyes, and then apply foundation that matches your skin tone. loose powder is supposed to follow up to keep everything on, but that might be a little intense. :)

do people actually wear foundation daily? when i say people i mean, obviously, people in high school. like concealer and power are understandable, but hard core, slather-all-over-your-face foundation?

I tried wearing makeup in middle school, but while my friends all acquired skills with it, I just ended up looking like a whore for years, so now my face is just naked all the time, and I sleep in an extra five minutes.

well considering that wearing concealer and powder makes you look like a clown, i hope they do wear foundation if they need it! i, luckily (knock on wood), do not, and barely wear any makeup to school.

"Survivor" by Chuck Palahniuk recommends Hemmorhoid Cream

put a spoon in the freezer for about ten minutes and then put it under your eyes.

I use tinted moistuizer instead of foundation to just make everything look a little smoother and more like I got a decent amount of sleep.

Concealer and powder definitely doesn't make you look like a clown, unless you go way overboard.
