Do what you want, but telling others that it's ivy league is a trashy move.

I.e.
You: I go to Penn
Joe: Penn state?
You:No, the university of Pennsylvania. It's an ivy league school. Don't you know it's ivy league? It's highly prestigious.

I agree with dusk, figgy that is a bad assumption. Not everyone is going for the name, but rather the programs. I know that after countless hours of research into the programs at Wharton, I want to go there. That is the main reason I am applying.

Were u telling me that was a bad assumption or agreeing with me? Lil confused

lol at my work as a waitor it seems like so many people ask me where I go to college and tonight someone asked and then went "O...so ur one of them" lmao yikes. It was a Dartmouth wedding tho, which was cool. They met at Dartmouth so they named all of their tables after buildings where events happened with them. Great idea

I am kinda lost in this whole discussion myself and do not know exactly what I meeant by that comment. I will tell you what i Think. I believe that a school can be good without being an IVY and there are a lot of people that apply to the schools because they are good, not becasue they are IVYs. With that in mind, even if UPenn suddenly one day is not an IVY or never was, people would still apply to it because it is very good. Although some colleges in the university are better than others, it is still a strong school overall.
