For Those Deferred

Anyone send in a letter but not get a response back? I heard from a lot of friends that the admissions officer emailed them back thanking them for taking the time to write a letter. I hope that they received my letter, since I didn't send them anything else and don't want to give the impression that I don't care.

So...anyone write a letter but NOT get a response? =/

i did not get a response

I didnt get a response either

I didn't get a response either.

LOL, I didn't write a letter to begin with. Sorry, don't mean to sound weird, ... just that I feel if my application was not good enough by itself, then maybe I'm not the person they want.

nah i didnt get a email

were your friends talking about harvard tho?

oh yeah, I also liked your first violin concerto

I e-mailed to add things to my application for regular review, but I did that at many schools and never received any response.

I did not recieve a response either

so shostakovich your friends who received letters have a better chance than we do :p

well...the admissions officer just wrote a short email thanking them for their time...oh well..i guess analyzing this stuff is useless...we'll all find out in couple of weeks =/

I sent a letter and two more recommendations, one from a teacher and one from my supervisor at the library. I didn't get a response, but my supervisor got a postcard thanking her for her letter.
