As we frantically count down the days to RD results, I'm getting more and more hooked to CC ..

Anyways, I just realized something odd, so I thought I would see if this is the case for everyone. I applied early to Harvard and got deferred, but I never got a formal letter through snailmail that said "you're deferred."

Is this just Harvard's way of saving trees & paper, or did you guys get actual paper things that said ur deferred?

Yeah, that must have been a mistake. You should have gotten mail via USPS that informed you of your deferral. All candidates should receive the letter; the email is only for those who choose it in addition to the postal mail notification.

I got the "snailmail" letter when I was deferred, but really have heard nothing else. Nothing from financial aid, asking for more forms or anything about decisions coming out. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......

I'm really glad they email things to you because snailmail would take another 6-8 days until it arrives here. I applied to Penn and they don't send emails to me which means I get all the important information a week later than other applicants.

But there was nothing new on the paper version of the deferred letter. Actually, it said the exact same thing as the email version.

And no, they never sent out forms asking for additional information to everyone, unless if I missed those too, chacha. They only said on the deferred letter/email to send over info if you had any.
