I know that it's hard... a weeder class for Ross. But exactly HOW hard can it be!!?? It's just econ, right? For those of you that have taken econ 101, could you give us current students some tips on the Exams and how to do well?

Personally, I think the book and homework is easy squeezy...so i'm thinking to myself...why does everyone say it is hard?

The book is easy. The homework is easy. The quizzes in discussion are easy. But the exams (T/F and MC) are very tricky and nothing like them. They really test your analytical skills. However, it's still not as difficult as many people like to say. Do the practice exams and go over the course pack. The book is useless for the most part. I did the reading only to become familiar with the concepts before lecture. I didn't use it to study for the exam. The course pack was all I used.

I agree, it isnt as difficult as most people say it is. There are WAY harder classes at UofM. The tricky part is that there is a pretty competitive curve, so you might not do as well as you think youre doing. Understanding the Practice exams are the key to doing well on the exams. Good luck!
