<p>I know that for those that were waitlisted, this is such an anxious time! Your long wait continues! My daughter was waitlisted last year and ultimately was accepted in early June. My advice to all of you is that when you return the waitlist postcard, include a letter emphasizing your interest in ND. This is really imperative. (I attended a local ND admissions session led by an admissions counselor who indicated that if you are waitlisted, "they want to hear your voice.") My daughter also followed up with two phone calls to her regional admissions counselor. (First call was never returned, the second one was returned with a phone message.) </p>
<p>Also, she never followed up with additional information as she did not receive any additional awards. However, her grades were really strong to the end and I do believe that ND contacted her high school counselor to find out about her performance prior to making their decision regarding her admittance. So...keep studying!</p>
<p>Any questions, please ask and I will try to help. I believe that ND took about 150 off of their wait list last year and my daughter was probably about the 120th or so. (Last year they were very conservative in admission numbers because the prior year they accepted too many! None from two years ago were admitted off of the wait list!)</p>
