Lakshmi,
can u elaborate a bit about this CSS profile ?? is that the certification of finances??
and why it has to be ready by tuesday ?

no...I mean I said I wanted to get it ready by Tuesday so I can mail my application cause it's getting so darn late to the deadline. no...it's the other form I have to submit besides the Certification of Finances. it's downloadable. but not all univ require it. I know for sure Pton doesn't, so I guess neither do many others.

okay thank u :)
btw where r u applying early action/decision ?

I'm aplying Ed to Brown. :) (really hope I get in too :D )

Great school,
good luck with ur application :)

Martin, did you decide where you are going to apply ED?
I'm just curious :-)

vesselina, no ED for me :(, I won't be able to cover the deadlines....
I'll try to be more organized for my RD applications :)

Don't give in to despair! There are still some opportunities for you. I know that there are colleges which offer EDI and EDII options, so you might consider that. Bates, for sure, has an EDII Round. Go for it :-)

Vessy :-)

ok...coming back to the subject of this thread...I also have a question. for those of you who have to complete the international student financial aid application:
what kind of official documents are you sending along with the form? and for what year? I mean 2005 isn't over yet so I can't send my parents' income for the whole year. what should I do? should I sent the ones for 2004?

erm... i think intel finaid applicants do not file the CSS profiles... only need the international student financial aid apps and certification of finances...

Yeah..I though CSS were for Americans (and Canadians at some schools, too). But, hey, to each school their own.

My parents are sending bank statements they received from the bank (all the way from Malaysia, the JUNE one which arrived this year. I think they'll also use the website www.xe.com as a way to convert it) For this year, 2005. About income, using last year's income, I think. Unless, yah, my dad is paid monthly the same thing for 12 months...

Lakshmi,

You should definitely contact the colleges to which you're applying because each school has its own financial aid policies. Make sure that you know exactly what to do with fin aid forms. I was not quite sure and I e-mailed all of the colleges to which applied.

Good luck! :-)

thanks...but I'm afraid it's a little bit late to ask them since I'm applying ED and they'll probably answer me in about a week. :( but I think I've managed to find a solution :)

I'm glad that you found a solution :-)

But anyway, you can give it a try and write an e-mail. I remember that last year when I wrote to Grinnell, I got responses in less that two days. So, you never know :-)

i'm sorry that i'm asking a question here, but I'm an intel and can I fill out the CSS form online? or do i have to do the paper form?

How generous is Wash U in St. Louis to internationals? Chances of getting upto 90% need based aid?

from what I know Washu does not give need base aid to intels

it does, im jus worried abt how generous they are.

I also knew they only gave academic scholarships to intels, not need based. dunno.

does give need based, just dunno how genrously. thats why im wondering whether to apply to Wash & Lee or Wash U
