For those of you who are transferring in the Fall Will we be able to take summer?

I am talking to community college transfer students only. Do you know if we will be able to? without it conflicting with our UC we are transferring to.

In other words will the UC's still be on break by the time we are done taking a summer class at a CC if we choice to?

Also will the class count? this class is just a prereq for my Major. not for IGETC

My CC is semester system btw

That’s a complicated question… if you were pre-accepted then yeah you can take the class in the summer I think, sometimes. Because it’s a pre-req that’s actually kind of a doozy. Did you indicate anywhere that you were gonna take it in the summer initially?

on the January update i believe. the reason is i’m taking a math class right now and it is kinda a hassle to stay in the class sense it is a morning class and i have to wait 12 hours for me next class -_-

it will be great if possible i can take the class during the summer prior to transferring in the Fall

If thats your transferable math class don’t even think about it.

i have heard from many ucla reps that they do not accept any classes taken the summer before you transfer. i dont know about the other UCs.

<<<esp if it’s a pre req for a major you need to have that done by the end of spring. actually you need to have everything done by the end of spring…this is for ucla only like i said i dont know about the other UCs.

What if you’re taking a summer class just for the sake of getting as many classes done before transferring (and it happens to be a major-related prereq)
