For those who got Accepted to OSU ? What was your ACT?

i got a 31 with a 3.2 gpa, but my course load is extremely hard. i meen if you have a low gpa and a not very high classes even a 36 act wont save you.

What was the ACT that you got to get into OSU ?

Has anyone scored in the 30’s and NOT gotten in

Gnsdraw…I have a 3.3 GPA, but my course load wasnt that hard…already got denied from Ohio State but im in the process of appealing it, but in order to have a legit chance, they told me I needed to have my ACT increased 3-4 points…Im taking it saturday

wouldn’t that meen they would review it beyond the may 1st deadline to choose a college? since it would take 2.5 weeks to get test scores and another week or 2 to have them recieved by colleges? or are they willing to make an exception? also consider the fact that osu admits nearly all transfers if you dont get what you want.

It would be for Winter Quarter, not the Fall QTR

collegeman7 what was your act?

My ACT was 21 and honestly I didn’t study or prepare myself because I got tired of the whole thing. My gpa is decent 3.4 but I take challenging classes and I never thought about my gpa just taking classes that interested me even if it was hard and stressful -AP Econ:worse class ever. At my old school it was much harder to get 3.5.

KP33 …I have a 3.3 and a 26 on ACT, not a relatively tough work load in HS though. Anyway I applied to OSU, and got deferred and then denied. Transfering after a year is not something I want to do, Im desperate to go to OSU ASAP, its been the only school Ive wanted to go to …anyway Ive been talking to some OSU admissions counselors, and if I can improve my score 3-5 points…I will have a chance of appeal. I originally got a 22, and then a 26…so hopefully I can get another 3-4 point increase to improve my chances

My daughter (OOS) got a 25 on her Act. She applied with a 3.6 GPA with lots of honors, AP, and college level classes.

I had a 32, but I have a friend who takes similarly difficult classes, had a 3.3-ish, and was rejected a few weeks ago with a 28 ACT. That seems rather odd considering the average score for last years class was a 27.3. The Facebook group for accepted '09 students had a thread asking ACT scores, and it seemed like a lot of people got in with lower scores, like 22-26. Not too many people with 30s and above.

i got a 23, but thank god i did WAY better on the SAT.

So it seems like I need about a 31-33 to feel safe…I got a 26 last time so Im not sure how feasible an increase that large would be

I got a 31 (if you superscore my ACT, which OSU does not do, I would have a 33) with a ~3.6 GPA, I go to a hard school
(I got into honors)

On the OSU 2013 facebook group about the ACT thread I thought a lot more people got in with high ACTs and there were some 30s or higher. It made me pause a little.

I got a 31 and got into the Honors college. Go to a good school but have a 3.4 UW GPA.

monamona- there were a few 30+ scores in the ACT thread, I just meant I was surprised by how many people seemed to have scores significantly below the 27.3 average.

I got a 29 with a 3.7 gpa

I received a 28 and have a 3.6 GPA at a decently hard school. Class load is average this year as well, but I still made it in.

I got in with a 23, and a 92GPA. Must have been my super essay  I also applied very early, like in August!

i got a 2.5/2.75 and a 31 ACT and got in… truthfully i didnt expect to get in anywhere good with a 2.5/2.75

i do have a very hard courseload tho
