For those who took the AP lit test--------------

Since you guys were just recently in my shoes, could you help me some some of my questions?

What are the biggest tips, advices, etc... you would give to someone studying for the Lit test?

Does AP Literature and Comp. help tremendously on the Subject test?

How did YOU get the score you did? What were the most important aspects of the test you worked on?

Which practice tests did you use, and which company? Kaplan, Barron, etc...?

If you were terrible at poetry, how did you get better?

Thank for the help!

Come on guys, I really need help! Anyone?

I scored a 710 in November.

I didn’t study for it at all. I was originally going to go in and take Math 2, but I made a split-second decision to take Lit instead. Since I scored (relatively) high, I would say that Lit’s something you can’t really study for at all… I mean, I guess you can, but a lot of Lit’s just dependent on your natural ability to read and analyze text. And the way to improve on that is to just read a lot, not take practice tests.

I took AP Lang last year, so I would say that helped me out for this subject test. I scored a 5 on the Lang exam, which surprised me since all year I was a B student (like 83 average).

Just natural ability. I didn’t study for the test. I just knew I was pretty good at reading and analyzing text, so I decided to take the test and I ended up with a 710.

None

I figured that the answer choices would lead me in the right direction as to what the meaning of the poem is… generally, I have a hard time finding out what a poem is talking about, so I used this strategy to help me out.

uh i took a couple of practice tests and i think they like familiarized me with the type of questions that were gon be on the test. i didnt take ap lit (takin it this yr) but took ap lang as a junior.
tbh i dont even remember which publisher it was but the cover of the book was blue. i just borrowed it from the library.
as for poetry i just learned what type of questions that were gon be on the test. i do like reading poetry in spare time but not like obsessively (tho if youre obsessed with poetry youre a chill bro in my book)

@2chainz, what company was the book from which you took the practice tests?

^googled it and it seems to be kaplan. good luck
