I'm in desperate need of help here!
A little background, I'm a Sophomore in honors english II, took honors last year, and they're both cakewalks. I got a 32 on both my Reading and English ACT.
Now, I was taking AP Psych at another school (self studied, my school didn't offer it) when they said they ordered extra tests and that I could take one if I wanted. I really wanted to take a second, and saw Lit, so I jumped on it. I'm pretty good with analysis, but it's dawned on me since I got home that the test is THURSDAY and I won't get my study book until tomorrow afternoon. Have I gotten myself into a horrible mess, or can I handle it if I work through Barron's in these two nights? Any other advice?
Thanks very much! (:

This is a good thread. I am also cramming for AP English Literature (but I am using Princeton Review, though). Does anyone have a list of major topics that we should study before the test? Thank you for your suggestions!

I’m taking this test too…what could be on it?

Looks like a lot of us are in the same boat! Good luck to you guys, too, and here’s hoping we get some answers. From what I’ve heard, you should definitely brush over their essay expectations and the rubric, but that’s all I know.

First you guys should look over AP lit terminology and get yourself familiar with terms that the multiple choice section (45% of your grade) will ask you over. Just google AP lit terms and find quizlet or something. The terminology will especially help you when you write about poetry and short sections from prose.

Next, find an AP list of books and try to see which ones are most frequent on the test (appear the most) and see if you read those. You want to find 3-4 books you know FOR SURE that way you can answer the open response essay with greater ease.

Anyway, good luck to you all…
