For those who visited Bates

Hi!

I’m an international student from Bulgaria, and I did not have the opportunity to visit the campus. If you went there, what impressed you the most? How would you describe the atmosphere there? Any inputs would be helpful:)

I visited Bates, oh, about a year ago (more or less), and here's my 2c:

The atmosphere's amazing; everyone is friendly and interested in you (sure, you can say that about every school, but it seems pretty sincere at Bates). Campus is a suburban one in a Maine mill-town: Lewiston, ME, has seen better days but it's not so bad. It has somewhat of a historic feel to it with some Victorian (or so I thought) houses....The only problem with Bates/Maine might be the bitterly cold weather in winter and rainy and cold springs - then again if you like the cold (like me) it's not a problem.

So yeah, that's all I can remember, hope that helps.

It doesn't have the prettiest campus I've seen...It's very nice though.

thanks, guys:)
