For vistors from Harvard

In the spirit of LAgal, I'll open up this forum as well. Perhaps this can be used to communicate between applicants from both schools (apparently Princeton gets let out).

While many of us know our first choice, and have applied early, 80%-75% of early applicants from CC will be rejected or deferred. Hopefully the "IVIES" thread in the College Admissions section can be kept open as an overall thread instead of many within the forums. On December 15th, many of us will have to consider migrating our main focus out of school specific forums. Lets all meet here, and hopefully have some of the comraderie that the individual forums have felt.

A thread spurred by the above suggestion by Nickleby...
I hope that I speak for every veteran of the Harvard board when I welcome you guys to our home! If Harvard EA falls through, I will definitely apply to Yale, and like others have said, I'm probably not alone. I suggest we become friends right now..."

aaaawwwww, Nickleby...that's so sweet! thanks! :)

ill play the role of the obnoxious kid no one likes who hasnt gotten into yale yet :D

go yale 09..........harvard sucks

im kidding, by the way

cc? am i just stupid or do i just not know what it means

CC - College Confidential

or cc=community college, but i think lindsey has the definition you want

Hi Harvard! Happy Thanksgiving to you all too :)

Thanks giving is fun!!! lol

I find this truce incredibly comical, actually. But count me in. We're all in this together, after all.:)

Aww, so no Princeton/Yale truce? Well, if so count me in...or I may just have to form an HYP board on the Princeton forum....

I'm all for a Princeton/Yale colloboration.

hey, if Harvard is welcome on the Yale board, anybody is welcome on the Yale board. lol

haha, yay...and we Princeton "post whores" will boost your post count, no doubt. =)

well id just like to say cal sucks and im not applying to cal.

but harvard, yale, princeton, its all good.

the Princetonian "post whores" should go visit poor Brown occasionally, they look like they could use the help. I don't know why their forum is so barren, Brown is my second favorite school and I don't see whats not to like about it.

hey stanfordwannabe, question...whats the appeal of stanford to a NJ kid like u? i'm from CA, so applying to stanford is a no-brainer for anyone with good grades and scores....juss curious bout your point of view

BTW, CAL is a great school!!!

the appeal of stanford? ive been there a couple years ago, and its a beautiful campus with beautiful weather. but mainly, i dunno whether i wanna do humanities or engineering, and stanfords the only school thats at the top tier in both. (besides id like to party with the humanities kids)

hi guys! Nickleby, I love your idea to "hopefully have some of the comraderie that the individual forums have felt." I'm from the stanford thread myself, but am applying to yale/harvard/princeton whether or not stanford comes through. if we're going to migrate, why not get to know each other now? that was a great idea; you're absolutely right, too.

perhaps we could persuade the powers that be to create a HYPSM thread? we really should all become friends :-D

whats the m in HYPSM for?
