Has anyone in NJ gotten an acceptance email?
@cfnv101 i live in NJ applied EA but i didnt get any response yet
Has anyone in Virginia heard anything?
we are in NJ too, my son hasn’t received any responses.
@nmocha567 I live in VA. I haven’t heard anything yet.
I live in FL and applied ED to Rose Hill but haven’t heard anything.
Where do we see our admissions decision? Where on the portal should we be looking?
UPDATE: I am the one who began this thread and just recently posted that I live in Florida, applied to Rose Hill under ED, and hadn’t heard anything yet. However, just now I received a letter in the mail informing me that the financial aid office wants to move forward with the processing of my financial aid package. I’m not sure if this is significant in determining whether or not I’ll be accepted but I figured I’d update you all with this new information.
I live in NY and I got the same “move forward with processing financial aid” letter two days ago. I don’t think this determines our acceptances though because I checked last year’s thread and most people got the letter too. I do have to fill out three additional forms, based on what was on that letter, except I’m looking at those forms and I have no clue where to get some of the information required on each of them.
So it looks like only people from New England received likely letters…strange. Is anyone planning on going to the reception in Boston?
someone recently told me that Fordham tells people of their acceptances through a text message. does anyone know if this is true??
I got the same financial aid letter. I’m glad it was that because the little envelope looked so disappointing!
@Nimisha99 not getting a likely letter is totally fine, and actually pretty normal. No one is exactly sure how they chose the people who receive likely letters, but many well-qualified applicants don’t receive them, but still get in and qualify for merit scholarships. Don’t stress out!
Does anyone know when decisions were released last year??
13 days until December 19. Fingers crossed!!
I don’t want to freak anyone out, but do yourselves a favor.
Double check that you applied early action and not regular decision.
I won’t go into details, but let’s just say our family has some ‘experience’ in this area.
(Good news is that the schools where this happened were able to evaluate the application right away. But there was uncertainty through Christmas)
Best wishes to all of you.
I received an email saying I’m in on 11/30 if anyone’s interested.
What state are you from?
Hi everyone! Can I get some advice?
I didn’t get a likely letter or email and I’m very nervous. My test scores are a little low, but I got a 26 on the act. My gpa is a 95.8 out of 100 weighted. I’m number four in my class. I will have completed 6 AP classes by the end of my senior year. I’m a baton twirler, a part of National Honor Society, Student government, and do a lot of extra curriculars. I volunteer a lot with Special Olympics as well. I applied EA to Rose Hill as a Humanitarian Studies Major. Honestly, what do you think my chances are?
Your stats are a lot like mine. I got a 26 composite but super score 27 and everything else is very similar. I hope they look at it holistically and not focus at tests that much. @collegehopeful101
