Oh, our daughter was accepted too (Lincoln Center)! We live in Northern California but managed a NYC trip last summer — walked around LC campus but were only able to drive around outskirts of Rose Hill
Congrats to you. That’s the same as my son: accepted at FCLC and NYU, going to NYU. He’ll be in media, culture and communication in Steinhardt.
Did you/your student receive an admissions packet in the mail? My daughter never did and I just wanted to verify that we didn’t miss anything. Thanks!
We don’t have an admissions packet from Fordham either. My daughter was admitted EA last month.
Just guessing. Possibly they send it with the merit scholarships/financial aid in a week or 10 days?
Does anyone have any idea when Honors College decisions will be released? Would that come out with merit at the same time??? No physical packet received here yet, just the online admissions letter. ahhhhh just saw info posted by @ajp0517 - thx!
Email response from AO regarding Honors and Merit.
At this time, all invitations to our Honors Programs have already been sent out. Additionally, any mention of major merit scholarship would be featured in an admit letter, but if you filed FAFSA and CSS by the deadline, there is still the potential of other financial options that would be featured in the full package. If you filed, that package would arrive in early February.
Just wanted to let you know that my daughter is a NMSF who did not receive notice of the full tuition scholarship with EA admission offer to Gabelli at Lincoln Center. However, they updated her letter and sent it today with the full tuition scholarship so there is still hope for other NMSF!
Wonderful news for your daughter. Was her admission letter updated via portal, email or regular mail.
We have also not received anything other than the online acceptance.
Hm, so does that mean that if merit scholarship information wasn’t included in the admit letter we should not expect much? We completed the FAFSA and CSS, but know we don’t qualify for need-based aid. My daughter did not get invited to the Honors Program and was not NMSF, but due to good stats received strong merit scholarships from other schools. Maybe it comes down to what they consider “major” merit scholarship. Was hoping for something decent from Fordham to keep them in the mix as she has other good options.
If I understand their communications, the merit awards will come out next week along with the financial aid packages.
We are in the same situation. Strong merit and honors programs from other schools.
I thought that his response was rather curt, but hopefully his reference to “major” merit is just a definition of a certain level and not all merit.
Same here…
She received an email telling her she had an update in the portal. It was the admission letter with the scholarship section added in. She is thrilled! I hope others will receive similar news.
My daughter has to submit mid-year grades to Fordham due to her being deferred back in December but her high school uses a trimester grading system. Would she submit her first trimester grades? Because her second tri grades aren’t available until March. Also does her counselor have to submit it or can she submit herself using parchment?
These are questions you need to ask Fordham. I wouldn’t rely on anecdotal answers.
If she can use Parchment, make sure the guidance counselor updates after the first trimester. Ours does not.
We are in the same boat. Our daughter has received substantial scholarships from 2 other schools. Would hope to get some here too to keep it in the running.
Another one in the same boat. D has substantial scholarships from every other school and nothing from Fordham.
To those who have not received money from Fordham but have received merit from other schools–Can I ask what schools have given substantial scholarships to you? My daughter did not receive anything in her letter from Fordham and I thought that she was a good candidate for merit. Hoping she might have applied RD to some schools that will offer her merit aid…
