I am a current senior deciding where to go. I applied to 12 schools (I know, so many probably too many) and I’ve gotten into the majority of them. I’ve kind of gotten rid of some and I’ve kind of gotten it down to University of Connecticut, University of Vermont and Fordham University (possibly Providence if I get in there). I love University of Vermont but I know that the other two might rank higher in academics and it’s also the farthest away from home (I live in Connecticut). My parents (especially my dad) want me close to home, but I am so in love with UVM. It’s kind of a hybrid of all the qualities I like in a school (there are things I don’t like about Fordham and Uconn). If anyone has any input, just please tell me. (I also am kind of considering University of Scranton and Fairfield University) (kind of have gotten rid of Quinnipiac and University of Maryland from the table since I didn’t get into the programs I wanted at them) (also planning to major in biology/health sciences at these schools, Pre-Health possibly Pre-Med) (money wise Fordham is the most expensive and UVM gave me a nice chunk merit money and obviously nothing can compare to Uconn’s in-state tuition) I feel helpless in this decision as it is so TOUGH.
Bump pls help me
How much is UVM vs UConn (I’ll assume Fordham is very expensive)
UVM would be about $35k in total and Uconn instate is about $25k in total. (fordham is $56k wowie) My parents tell me to not worry about the cost, but I do.
Simply because of cost, I think you should eliminate Fordham. If I were you I’d go to U Conn, because it’s the least expensive and it’s generally considered a better school than UVM. But if you really love UVM, then maybe that’s the right place for you. Have you visited all of them?
Thank you for your advice. Yes, I have visited them all. I recently visited UVM and plan to visit Uconn (doing the husky for a day thing) and Fordham again in April.
