I recently was accepted into Fordham without housing so I'm going to get on the waiting list for housing.

While I am a commuter they are apparently giving me $6000 a year for a "Metro Grant" (commuters only). This means that once I get housing, I will lose the grant and spend an extra $15000 a year a total of +$21000 a year so I would be going from $28,000 a year to $49,000 which is just crazy. I did read somewhere about a "Room grant" that replaces the metro grant once you get a room, anyone hear of this or know if it's true?

I never heard about such a thing. I would think that you would lose the metro grant if you take a dorm room on campus but you can call the financial aid office to find out for certain.

Whaddup-I’m going to fordham and I also got the metro grant and after some research I learned that you can’t take up on-campus or even off campus housing. To keep the grant you’ll have to commute from home, although I don’t know how’d they find out if you got an apartment or something. I’ve never heard of a room grant but I’d check their website for more info, if you haven’t done so already.
